Road and Bridge to receive asphalt to enhance County roads

The Road and Bridge crew always looks out for roads in Mesa County that need a little revitalization, and the Commissioners approved a $100,000 contract for 1,010 Tons of Hot Mix Asphalt at the April 23 administrative public hearing to get the resources to keep your daily travels smooth.

Collaboration offers spay/neuter vouchers to Mesa County pet owners

When you spay/neuter your pet, you actively manage overpopulation in our community and help ensure all pets have access to the five freedoms. Mesa County Animal Services partnered with local veterinarians to offer spay/neuter vouchers to qualifying Mesa County pet owners through Sept. 15, 2024, with the help of the Animal Assistance Foundation’s (AAF) generous funding.

Improvements to 18 Road will offer safer access to recreation area

18 Road will see improvements to provide safe access to the recreational area for bike, foot, and equestrian traffic. At the April 30 public hearing, the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mesa County, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, and the Federal Highway Administration — Central Federal Lands Highway Division to start the process of the 18 Road Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) project.
